Awesome! A brand I have experience with. How much is the annual subscription after the first year?

I had a garmin GPS for my car back around 2004. Not only is how much is the annual subscription after the first year, but how easy it it to downlaod the annual updates?

After my second Garmin (2nd car device in 2004), and trying to update the maps via my computer, I gave up on them after we tried to update our maps.

This is why I stay away from anything from Garmin. It wasn't easy by any means.

it was bad then, but it did get better. Map downloads have been "free for life", since about 2008 or so, where "life" is defied to be the life of the product in their eyes. I have a Dezl truck model with bridge limits and underpass heights, which is still being updated.

Garmin Alpha 100. We bought an extra collar so both dogs could be on the system. (One dog has since passed on). I know that you can set boundaries for it, I have just used it to condition the dogs to stay within 300 yds of our home. We have a Podenco. Spanish rabbit dog. They are sight hounds and notorious for having poor recall but his recall is excellent now.

So did you have it running automatically to correct them? Seems you can't do that on the 200i but I can't find the same info for the 100i.

Within arms reach I have two Garmin products, within the room, three more, in the house....a bucket full. Honestly I hate the amount of data you are forced to share when using their products, hence why the bucket is getting fuller of systems I don't use because I've moved to others.

I was actually wondering about the same thing but didn't bother to ask.

I know dogtra had the same kind of collar out as far as GPS location, but when I looked on the Garmin, came across the 200i, but it seems you couldn't set parimeters as far as a "fence line" that the dogs were not supposed to go past.

Honestly, with that hound in our home, I was seriously considering just getting the GPS unit so I knew where he was when he snuck off.

I'm guessing you agree with me why I moved away from Garmin (myself back in the early 2000's).

I just know updating their map system was a pain in the arse and I never wanted to deal with it again, which I haven't.
