Grackles Whitewashing My 1.5 Acres - HELP!

Whew . . ., sounds as if you have it even worse than I do. We have 4 Bradford Pear trees across the backyard and I know there are at least 8 grackle nests in them. Our little Chihuahua has brought 6 baby birds to the back door that had fallen out of the nests; 3 of them still alive. And I've picked up 3 more dead ones in the yard. We keep both our vehicles parked inside the garage, so we only occasionally have the grackles hit one of them, but they sure do make a mess of the wooden fences. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Try one of these bird scare guns from gemplers. I use one to keep the crows out of the sweet corn..........you can get a cartridge with a loud report (boom) or a siren type. The birds don't hang around long after you get the point across once or twice !!
