Looks like the leading edge of your blade is opposite from most. Just wondering.

Many, (not me) believe the angle of the blade does nothing as far as moving material towards the center of the driveway.
If that is so, the direction of the angle is meaningless.
The main purpose of building a land plane for me is to specifically move material from the sides of the road back to the middle for a crown affect. (Tilting the plane with low side on the side of the road. I was planning on a 2 blade build, with both blades angled the same direction. Also having a round pipe across the very rear of the plane, about a half inch higher than sides to help smooth.
Like how you are showing the evolution of your build. Nice work.
I have an EA 6 land plane and it has been remarkable the difference it has made on my 1/2 mile, 300 elevation difference driveway. Most of the driveway has to slope to one side or the other as it winds down thru the woods. Have no trouble recovering gravel and maintaining pitch. The videos from EA describe many of the design features and why. The angle and long sides contribute to the effectiveness.
The angle irons the the blades are mounted to are 3/8 thick. I致e been surprised I haven稚 bent one yet hooking on a large rocks. Thought about thicker angle or some boxing underneath.
It has replaceable skids on the side panels. They are mild steel (I think) and are wearing fast. Some AR series steel or hard surfacing rod might help.
Been using 911 Motorsports.com plasma cutter templates to cut non-critical bolt and pin holes. Highly accurate, fast and surprisingly smooth.
Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.
I use this to pull gravel back away from drainage ditches in the spring
Hey Red, when I built mine,, I had the parts laying in the shop available to me, so I added an extra degree of adjustment to the top link connection,,
I believe EVERY time I have used the land plane, I have adjusted that,,
it gives really fine control, over only adjusting the top link length.
