grain truck , service truck projects

Hi Guys, Been a while since I posted. With fresh snow on the ground and looking like winter again I headed back to the shop. I had 50 new tires and rims I never used from my model building days. So I decided to use them up. I'm building a grain truck with a pup and a service truck. Also a offroad articulating truck and a IH 350 Payhauler Dump Truck. That will use up 48 of the tires. It seems nice to be puttering again in my little workshop. Here is some early progress pics on the first two trucks. I will set these two projects aside next weekend and get going on the Payhauler and get it roughed in.

I have scratch built over 200 different machines into models over the years. My models are welded and bolted construction and built with 18 ga. sheet metal. These two projects are rare because I am mounting plastic cabs on them. I had these two cabs sitting in my shed for 15 years always wanting to use them on a project. So rare the cabs and the tires I had left over were the same scale. Thanks for the kind words.

I should make more progress this week on the 8 foot long grain hauler rig. I'll post more pics of it as I move along. Got the first tailgate and hinges fabricated and welded up and attached today.
