Finally had a chance to take some pics of my new toy I mean tool :D

ROPS police do not get upset, I put the rops down as I was preparing to park it back in the tractor garage.

My second day using it to remove snow. It works vey well.

Kevin Emerich took very good care of me. I also purchased my B3030 through him two years ago. Very very good to deal with and excellent pricing. He is located in upstate NY but delivers into MA and CT.

The new GL3240 was $20,613.74 including tax and delivery to Connecticut. Best price by far.

Looks GREAT! I don't know about all that white stuff though.. :D ;)

How do those Turf tires do for traction in the snow?

Have fun.

Norm, great tractor! I am expecting delivery of basically the same set up in the next week or so. GL3240 with turfs and 514 loader and 72" mmm. How do the turfs manage in the snow? What is your primary use of your new machine? After seeing your pics I am looking very much forward to my new machine. Merry Christmas!! Brent

Merry Christmas to you to :)

I had R4 tires on my B3030 and the Grand L has the R3 turfs as you noticed. The turfs actually work much better than the industrial tires did in snow. I heard other TBN'rs mention turfs being the ideal snow tire on pavement but I would not have believed it until I got my new tractor. I only spun them once were the industrial tires used to spin all the time in snow. The industrial tires also did a number on any finished lawn area that I crossed. I guess it is not really a fair comparison though as the rear R4's were loaded on my B3030 (which makes them stiffer thus less give and traction) and the GL3240 does not currently have loaded tires. The GL3240 also weighs quite a bit more which may help traction wise to. I only know the turfs are working flawlessly thus far.

I primarily use my tractor for loader work (bucket, forks or grapple). When I got the B3030 I planned on mowing with it which did not pan out. I ended up using the loader 90% of the time I was on the tractor. I also used the 3pt about 10 - 20 % of the time to. For any type of loader work, it is hard to beat the Grand L's. That is why I upgraded.

Norm, great looking tractor. A friend of mine just bought the L3240 and I drove it, great tractor. Sure wish I had the Auto Throttle Advance on my B3030HSDC. I bet it was a little cooler outside without the cab.

I like it a lot. It provides a lot more information than the B3030 panel provided. I also love the auto throttle and dual ranges for each hydro range. I have been running it with stall gaurd, auto throttle and the auto hydro activated. Everything is working flawlessly.

The FEL bucket actually does a fairly good job of removing snow on my asphalt driveway now that I have the technique. I may stick with that for now and forget about a rear blade.

So far a 10 out of 10. I have not found anything yet that I don't like about the Grand L. The 3 cylinder diesel is way smoother than the 4 cylinder that was in my B3030 to.

That seems to be a popular way to run these. I always keep mine set up like that. (other than the auto throttle)
