Oil & Fuel Grand L fuel consumption.

I continue to be amazed at how little fuel my B7100HST uses. I put 11 hours on it this weekend doing box blading, raking, and moving dirt with the FEL. I pretty much had it wide open for most of that time, and only used 3 gallons of fuel! That is less than 0.3 gal/hour!

Yeah, me too. My 20" pushmower will go thru that idling.

I make it a policy to not list the equipment I own here on TBN as opposed to some. It is not particularly something I wish to do and is viewed by many as being similar to guys wanting to compare their W2's or bragging about all of their possessions in a "keeping up with the Jones'" type of thing. However, the JD tractor I own that I'm referring to is shown here in a Nebraska test http://tractortestlab.unl.edu/Deere/Deere_5525.pdf When mine went out of warranty I had to injection pump turned up a bit, so I don't actually know how much more hp it puts out.

Dargo, to you its bragging, but it isn't necessarily for others. Like this case, its often useful information to see what equipment others have. And information transfer is the real benefit of this site. I regularly get questions about some of the less common attachments that I post, and I do it in an attempt to give back a little of what I've gotten out of here.

I'm hoping, and guessing, that there aren't many here who are sad enough to "brag" to people they haven't met, who live many states away. Seems kind of silly to me.

I'm not surprised - the kubota B series really seem to sip fuel.

Uhhhh, OK.

I've had 4 different Case backhoes over the years. Maybe with a similar hp dozer, like the 955 Cat I had, but not with a backhoe.

There you go, bragging again. :D

Oh, some are without a doubt. I'm more of a private person. Sometimes I get a kick out of someone telling me all about something and telling me how something is done when I know they don't have a clue. Besides, some of the silly stuff people list (which I'm sure they are proud of) is quite comical. Read what some guys list and how absolutely trivial it is. Quite a bit would have no real world reason to be listed. I happen to have several licenses, such as a Securities Series 6 and 7 license, a Certified Financial Planner's license etc., but I feel it has no bearing on anything discussed here. I look at that as if I'd list the degrees I hold and awards I've won in the same manner. Some things simply don't apply to the discussion of tractors etc. Thus, my satirical lampooning of them with my signature. Some people really get carried away. The funny thing is, the ones who I feel are the most hilarious never catch on to the joke. Besides, I seem to more align myself with the 'average Joe' than the guy who lists he has everything.

In truth, for the most part, I strongly feel that it's nobody's business what all I own and have parked in my barns. Although I have security systems on all the barns, I'm not about to advertise on the internet even the number of barns I have let alone what a potential criminal may find in those barns. I'm similar on firearm sites; I will admit that I have more than a dozen firearms but less than five hundred. I feel that's close enough and all I'd like to list on the world wide web.

If you are really working it hard, it should burn right at 2 gallons an hour - don't forget you are packing around the weight of the cab - the air conditioner and implements.

I just performed a 15 acre core aeration that i do every year. I burned less fuel with the 3540 than i did with the 3030 pulling the same 1000 lb aerator.
