Grapes

Sadly I wasn't kidding. I would love to not have these two roads so close to me but on the other hand it is nice anytime I want to go somewhere as these roads lead to a lot of places I need to go:rolleyes:

Yes. Its pretty convenient.

I have two grape vines in my garden. They freeze off most years so I have had grapes only once in five years. There are tons of orchards and vineyards north of here between the state line and lake Michigan. The lake makes a nice regulator for the temps.

Exactly, Lake Erie is one of the big factors for this area. It acts as a cushion for the extreme weather changes we have here in WNY.

Here are a couple pics and videos of my Niagara's being harvested.

That's very interesting, Robert. I'd never seen that machine before, so I appreciate your posting it.

And I don't recall hearing of Niagara's as a grape variety before either.

I suppose that area has a number of things named "Niagara's". I smoked Niagara's from an Indian Reservation in New York for several years before I quit smoking a couple of years ago.:D

Those are very informative pictures Robert. There is a lot of expensive shown. :D:D

But I do have a question, where in the picking machine do the people doing the picking hide??:)

Bird, here the term "Niagara Grapes" is quite common. I often wonder if it is derived from the physical location termed the "Niagara Peninsula" in Ontario. Parts of this region are at a lower latitude than parts of California.

Niagara grapes are what Welch and other processors use to make white grape juice. They are the green grapes. I will get a pic of them and post it for all to see.
