Hello. I'm a new tractor owner and trying to get things set up. I purchased a JD 5055E Tractor with a H240 FEL. Now I've purchased a grapple bucket and want to use the rear hydraulic control to operate grapple. I have on set of rear hydraulic and need to know what's required and where can I purchase equipment needed to make this hookup? Thanks

Tractor Supply Co., Discount Hydraulics, Surplus Center. Google hydraulic lines or fittings and you will find what you want. Grainers has them also, but kinda pricey if you don't have a discount.

I buy a lot of my stuff from ASC (Agri Supply Co.). I am getting ready to had connections to my FEL for the same reason. Dealer wants $1300 to do it, I am thinking I can do it for about $500

Without seeing it my guess would be
1) find out what type of quick connectors you have in back by checking the manual or with the dealer. Or maybe there's a part number exposed.
2) find out what type of connectors come with the grapple
3) determine the hose diameter you need, keeping in mind that you may want higher flow than a grapple up there at some point.
4) make or buy a bracket drilled for two bulkhead fittings (TBN search) that mounts on the crossbar connecting the loader arms. This is a mount for where the grapple hoses connect to your rear hoses. It will also give you a firm mount to push against if the connections are stubborn.
5) determine hose length by routing a garden hose between the front bracket and rear remote.
6) Take all that info to a hydraulic shop to make the hoses.
You may want to dig up your own bulkhead fittings to suit your bracket. I found them at Discount Hydraulics.

As mentioned, lots of places to get the components, we are running a grapple off the rear remotes on our M8540, but will be going to a diverter kit in the future for ease of use, cost is about $300 I think. Ken's Bolt on Grab Hooks <<Hydraulics>>
