i saw someone on the forum discussing a grapple bucket to move piles of brush. is this what they're made for? what do they look like? are they an attachment on the bucket or a separate specialty bucket? want to know what these are for and if they'd be useful for what i need (which is moving piles of "brush" after de-limbing trees. thanks.

You might do a search on grapple rakes, lots of info and it sounds like that's what you're looking for.

DB, here is my thread on a grapple bucket. The tractor is a Kubota L5030 with a quick-attach bucket which is the same attachment as the most skid steers (Bobcat).

I ran a hydraulic line from one of my rear remotes and control the claws with a lever by the seat.

You can of course add a grapple to an existing bucket IE ATI. There are many threads on that.

Pineridge,
That is a nice site that you have - I am impressed with what you have done with the New Holland (in fact I was the one that e-mailed you tonight about getting the drawings for your 757C garage dolly - I'm getting a 757C next week and need a way to store it). The "homebrew" grapple looks extremely well done. Was alignment and positioning of the cylinder and grapples as difficult as it looks in the photos?
Thanks much.

Joe
