Sweet, I am working on the same project. Still in design stage. I like to over engineer everything to death.

Yeah, Looks good. The rest of us that are still in the design stage were wondering how you deceied on two grapples vs one. Any thoughts.

I don't know about weekend project, but I thought having 2 grapple claws would aid in grabbing odd shaped objects. Plumbing them in parallel allows them to close until each one "bottoms" out on the object.

For example like a tree trunk or boulder that was shaped like a bowling pin sitting lengthways in the bucket. As the clamps started downward, the one around the bigger diameter would stop while the one on the smaller diameter would keep going until it hit, then both would get tight as they meet resistance. The one with the less resistance would keep going until it gets as tight as the other one. When opening up, the one that reaches the maximum opening would stop and the other would continue until it reaches it's maximum.

Here's a video of my grapple bucket.

Pretty nice grapple there Rob. How long did it take you to get it together?

Thanks Mike,
Total time was about 6 weeks. That was going up to the property every other weekend only and measuring the first time, ordering components, and final installation. Real time it took about 8 or 9 days from start to finish, I guess, including the time I had at home making stuff for it.

I thought about making a real tine bucket grapple like weekend project did, but my fel is not a quick attach. The bucket add a grapple works good for me and I made it so I can remove the grapples easily. But I really like the dual grapple set up a lot.

Yes, am jealous, at first i saw an issue with an unprotected cylinder rod but on the port side, i see that you have that handled. I dont even have a rear remote, much less a third function loader valve, bought my tractor in '93 I didnt know it was even an option guess my salesman sucked or it went over my head when he mentioned these useful accessories.
