Grapple not working or third function issues try this first. Will save you a lot time

I had an issue with my grapple not working it was less than a year old I installed it on the new tractor with a new third function . after calling the dealer he of course said it could be your solenoid , electrical issue, Hydraulic connections . So after spending 2 1/2 hours disconnecting connecting checking all my hydraulic lines. If I would致e watched this video it would致e saved me 2 1/2 hours to know hydraulic lines , connectors solenoid were working fine. turned out to be an electrical issue.
The manufacture of the third function is W.L long. All I needed to do to Eliminate
the hydraulics and Solenoid as the problem. you do this, by compress at the end of the solenoidç—´ The metal part while the tractor is running which will manually run the solenoid and if your grapple works moves up and down you have to do it on both solenoids, then you know itç—´ not a hydraulic or Solenoid issue

After doing it my hydraulics and solenoid were working fine
I called the manufacture and they were quite pleasant to help me troubleshoot the rest of the problem. It turns out the motherboard connectors were corroded. And I needed to send them a photo to confirm it and they sent me out a new motherboard under warranty.

Yep, most hydraulic and pneumatic directional valves, solenoids,etc. have a means to actuate manually. Unfortunately not many manuals tell you this. I learned it when I was an apprentice in the Machine Building trade in the late 1900's.

I inherited one of those W R Long valves on my used M5640. Good to know how that valve check works. I had no idea it was there. Thanks for posting the video.
