Grapple Grapple or Add on and tooth bar

I love my add on bucket grapples. I got two mounted on a 72" bucket.
No switching for anything. They never come off either.

If you want top-of-the-line and cost is not a major issue, check out these products. Nice stuff!

jinman,
WOW, looking at that link reminds me of the feeling I used to get when the JC Penny and Sears Christmas catalogs came out. Those are top notch products!

I've been having this internal conflict also. I just don't know what to do.

You are really happy with the bucket + grapples? Have you used a dedicated grapple before to gauge the two against each other?

Why do they have to make so many similar, interesting, fun things!!!!???!!!

No, I don't have a dedicated grapple like may others do.
Plus I don't have a QA system on the FEL, that's I chose the best of both worlds as a compromise. There are many photos all over the board of what I've done with my bucket grapples, including digging and moving dirt with the grapples on. Lots of logs, boulders rocks and brush too. If you want, I could send you some links to the photos?

As a dedicated grapple owner (take that in both possible meanings:)) I would chose the separate grapple and bucket if I had my choice but I would absolutely positively have a bucket grapple if I did not have the separates. I'd choose a simple bucket grapple over a 4n1 (which I also own) any day too. I don't use my standard bucket very much at all due to the nature of how I use my tractor (mostly for brush clearing and mowing) but I suspect that if I used it more I would have stuck a grapple arm on it by now even though I have a separate grapple. Bucket grapples are limited in minor ways (e.g. the bucket sides interfer with getting as many small long logs into the load) but a bucket grapple with toothbar should be able to do just about everything that a dedicated grapple can do otherwise.

I too am a grapple guy. I see value in both. There are times its a PITA cause I do not have a quick change bucket. But you can't beat it for clearing brush. I can dig under the roots like peanut butter.

I do have a QA bucket. But I likee the price factor of the addon grapple.

(I sorry the last feww posts I've made, this keyboard puts in too many letters sometimes.)
