I thought this was the forum I read a topic about a grapple that utilized the existing loader hydraulics but can't seem to find it.

Anyone one anything about this type of grapple/

You tie into the existing loader hydraulics to run the HYDRAULIC grapple

Westendorf makes one, the BC-4000 Brush Crusher. It replaces the pin-on bucket, and uses the dump/curl cylinders to operate the grapple.

Thank you GreenWannabe, that's what i was looking for.

Anyone have any experience with this grapple?

How does this grapple compare to a root grapple as far a function?

I have no experience with the Westendorf grapple. But I am sure it is Very similar to a pinned on thumb for an excavator. It make the maneuverability Very limited. Just try using your hand without bending at the wrist to pick something up
