I don't own one (yet) but I like the weight on the Worksaver grapples. I especially like the one made for 40hp machines. It looks pretty HD without being overkill, which sounds like it's what you need.
I know a guy who bought a really heavy one and now he's selling it because it scared him too much when he had a big load any higher than fender high. Maybe somebody can comment on the Worksavers.....He was using his on a L48. I inquired about it and he said he "I won't sell it to you...it's too dangerous".
