Grapplin' with the 5035

My mistake. I thought you had the Mahindra 5035. I do like your grapple ideas, and I would like to know who makes that one on your Kioti. The tractor in my sights (but not in my garage yet) is the Mahindra 4035 w/120 loader. Spected to lift 2400 lbs at pins. Maybe someone else can give their make/model selection on the lighter weight grapples.

My loader lifts 2700lbs at pivot pins. I'd put a light duty grapple on virtually any CUT up to 50hp without worry. At least one guy has one on his Kubota M59. Just make sure the load is reasonably balanced which you can see immediately when you start a lift as an imbalanced load will obviously twist the FEL. Don't ram like a bulldozer and keep forces midline and a light duty grapple will do just fine. By the way, you can also destroy a heavy duty grapple with imbalanced loads too.

I am new to TBN, but have been following TBN since early this year. I have my eye on a new 4035 with 120 FEL for some wood/timber work on our property. Like your insight on the loader/grapple weight issue. Love your grapple pics. What make and model is the one on your 5035? I have not settled on the 4035 w/loader as I beleive dealer price of 24,900 is a bit high. Although the dealer is discounting several implements and filling the tires at NC.

I think you are right about your dealer being high at 24,900. just for reference, I just paid $24,500 for a 5035 PST with 130 FEL. Hope this info helps.

Considered the 5035, but price was 28k + here. I think I am gonna stay with the 4035. I hope this is not a mistake. Apprecaite your input.
