Sea2summit how do you like your MX5800? What extras did you get add to it?

I really like it, I've only had it since December and will have a 100 hrs on it before next weekend is over but so far I'm a big fan. Got it with two rear remotes, third function, BH w/thumb, bucket, forks, 6' disks and a grapple.

Only thing I don't like about it is the cup holder is smaller than my BX and I can't get my insulated water bottle in it, fixing that soon.

Yesterday's Grapple fun.
Well I went ahead and cut a 60+ foot dead Ash next to the driveway in front of the shed. Was pretty puckered up before it fell hoping it would go the way I wanted it to, but it fell perfect. Got to use the grapple a lot. Gave all the core stumpage wood to Brian down the lane to split and sell to the campers we have around here. I have more than I can use of dead Ash. Saved a few small trash loads for when the grand kids came over so they could ride along to the burn pile. Man O man I can't believe how well Jordan the two year/almost three old can steer the tractor. He even knows how to pick up the RPM. We had fun, for sure.
Here are some pictures of one of the three sections of the trunk of the Ash. it was a 4 legged tree. I cut 3 of them last fall and took the big one today. It sure can bring up the heart rate as your cutting one of these thing in close quarters like this one was. It fell, just where I hopped it would.

My Grapple looks like a toy compared to most but it is sure nice to have. I don't think my lame 300 loader would even pick up rswyan"s grapple. Wow, what a beast!!

Hi MKR,

Nicely done, congrats on your marksmanship.

Where did you get your bucket grapple, and (if I may ask), about what did it and the remote for its use run you?

I searched your profile for posts listimg it, but didn't find any.

Thanks,
Thomas

Could not help myself. Here's a couple pics of hauling medium/well flank steak - light duty, single lid, narrow grapple. (I prefer rare, but four kids to please, so...)

Load and haul

Dump in eat pile - success

All these grapple pics have my mind spinning 24/7 on grapple uses and needs. :D
