Hey Guys, I've got a 1972 Gravely Model L with an electronic start that ran great last year but the starter switch needed replacing. I had the spark plug unplugged and took the negative wire off the battery while I put in the new starter switch. There are only two wires to the starter switch and everything looked okay when I put it back together but when I put the negative terminal back on the battery post, WHAM! Sparks flew and even took a little chunk out of the terminal! So, I guess I've got a short and it must have something to do with the new starter switch but I don't see anything obvious. Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks -- BG Brown
