Gravely model L won't move...help please!

I have a model L that runs great...but I usually move swift-a-matic lever into neural to make it easier to move around the barn etc. I need help in figuring out why it won't re-engage? I was hoping to start plowing for the garden this week...Any help or direction is very appreciated! Thanks, Hugh

Shot in the dark but check the swiftmatic linkage down on the axle, there is a nice spot for small objects to get into and keep it from re engaging, little stones, nut shells from critters etc.

Thanks, js5020, that was one of the first areas I checked. Always go for the simple solutions before tear down. Hoping someone else posts other possible causes and or remedies.

Sometimes they stick. I've to to lube the snot out of them and basically hammer the selector (light tapping) back into gear.
