I have been using my grandpas tractor for the last few months and noticed one of the grease fitting is missing. I took one of them off the tractor and to multiple stores such as Advance Auto and TSC and they all tell me it’s a 1/4-28 fitting but they are slightly too small. I can get them to screw into the hole but they won’t tighten and wiggle around. Is there a fitting slightly larger? 8 mm is too big.

I had a hard time finding the right size for one of my machines. One day I was in a Menards and saw both English and metric variety packs for $2 and bought one of each. I have no idea what the size was but I found one that screwed right in

It’s a Deutz Allis 435 FEL if that helps with anything. I’ll definitely try out the 7mm fittings. I can’t find them around here so I’ll have to get those online it looks like

I was in HF the other day and bought a box of SAE and a box of Metric zerks. I'm ready for anything. Grin.
