does anybody know if the Kioti grease fitting are a standard metric thread, thought I read on here they were a dealer only item but not sure. Did a search to no avail. The fitting on my KB2365, last one closest to the bucket is impossible to get at, needs to be changed to a 90 degree fitting then it will be easy. Thanks guys

I knocked that one clean off mine! They are metric, I found them at NAPA. My memory is going, but I think they were 10 mm, but I would pick up some 8's too! :p

Napa and Harbor Freight usually has assortments in metric and domestic threads...
I would think the 8 or 10 above poster is referring to is likely the wrench flats- which isn't the thread size.
10 mm grease fitting would be huge---just think of a 9mm bullet and add another mm.

I need a better grease gun tip that doesnt include the words "Made in Tiawan"---present one gets stuck on my loader fittings requiring wrestling to get the gun off.
Possibly in part because fitting are recessed in a hole.

Don't know if it helps but I just checked the manual for my KL122 FEL. Grease fittings are listed as 1/4-28. Yes, that's SAE (in metric I believe this is M6x1). Buying a mixed (SAE/Metric/various small sizes) assortment might be a good investment.

A grease fitting assortment should be mandatory accessory that comes with a tractor. :) The best thing to do is buy a little grease fitting assortment that has standard and metric fitting's in it that way you know you will alway's have the correct size.

I have had the same problem with finding the correct zurk fitting for the Top Link on my DK35. I bought a set of metric's at Rural King. Very Close but would not fit, I went to the autostore and found a SAE that would screw in but was just a little loose. Went the the Kioti dealer, and what ever he gave me, won't work either, I think they were metric, the same size I got from Rural King....
My next step is to take one off the tractor, go to the dealer with caliper in hand. Nothing is easy anymore...

I know on auto front end parts sometimes they just drill an untapped hole and supply a self tapping fitting---That is a possibility if the hole is now some size not found in nature.

I know for a fact that the grease fitting on the inboard joints of the steering rams that hang down in harms way are not SAE or meteric. Some goofy british thread that was only available at a tractor shop and in my case a Kubota shop supplied a zerc from a Kubota trackhoe that fit perfectly. I bought two.

That fitting is not standard and wasn't found in my hadny dandy tray of of metrics or any zerc at NAPA. Lots of wasted time before I finally went to the Kubota place.

Are you sure it's not a self threading metric or SAE? These tend to cut the threads a little larger than are used on normal fitting's. Some equipment manufacturers use self tapping fitting's because it removes one step from the manufacturing process.
