Grease Gun Recommendations

The battery guns are great, I am sure,.....but the COST!
The most bang for the buck, is the Lincoln Pneumatic gun.
On Amazon, and at Home Depot for $71.07.

I agree, I have the Lincoln Pneumatic one and it's great. It's pumps fast and is easy to load. I just ordered a second one because I like the first one so much and needed another.

Regardless of what you pick, get a lock-n-lube tip. They are WELL WORTH the $30.

Thanks for the info on the Dewalt gun. Might wait to find one on sale as I can make do with my mini pistol grip type.

No way I would buy a pneumatic gun. Would rather pump by hand than start the compressor and deal with a long hose.

I bought two sets, one for Mississippi, one for Virginia. I don't grease enough zerks anymore to make a power greaser needed.

Cordless is the only way to go (Milwaukee here). Getting a tractor with seemingly an endless number of zerks, many of which are UNDER the tractor, convinced me.

For manual guns, Alemite makes good ones. I have one that the linkage can be switched from high pressure to high volume.

I paid about $150 USD for my Milwaukee grease gun, bare tool. Ya it's a lot of money and I probably only use it at tops maybe 8-10 times a year. It was money well spent. Now when I grease my mower or the suspension on one of my trucks or my front end loader I can be sure everything gets grease vs wearing my shoulders out trying to pump grease in an awkward position. I'm not sorry I spent the money.

Mine gets used all the time. And it takes a lot of grease to grease my backhoe. Definitely not sorry I bought it.

Earlier I saw some reviews for an apparently not-yet-released Ryobi grease gun (P3410). I've got a few of their one+ tools and smaller batteries, so theoretically I could get a tool-only when it's available; reviews looked pretty good.

The DeWalt & Milwaukee are obviously pretty pro; I can get by with "good enough" as my needs are much less... we'll see if and when they release it; I may get impatient and get one of the others though I'd need battery and charger too.

I used to have a nice set of DW stuff but it was the old NiCad and then NiMH stuff and my batteries never lasted - really disappointing considering the prices, so I sold the stuff and didn't spend a ton more to get my new gear.
