Grease Guns

I'm heavily invested in DeWalt 18v. Theyve been goodtools, use them almost daily and they've done a lot. Havent had anything but DeWalt since 2005 (switched from Makita which was crap in early 2000s). Never disappointed by my DeWalts. Some of their quick-connects like Sawzall blade clamp, and drill chuck get stuck if u don't lube it. Prob should start rebuilding my battery packs. I wish there was a simple adapter for lower cost batteries.

Battery thing is a pain. In my opinion it beats dragging an air hose behind you. I have thrown out perfectly good tools because it was cheaper to buy whole new tools than replace the battery. I switched everything over to the dewalt 18volt battery. The 18 volt Nicad are cost effective, but heavy, you can get them apart to rebuild them. I know they don't last as long, but if you can affornd enough of them to keep one on charge.... Lately dewalts 18v bare tools have been dirt cheap, so everything is there痴 stuff now. Even got there florescent flash lite. Pricy but nice. Have lots of batteries this way. That is why I went with dewalts grease gun as opposed to say Milwaukee.

I've got drill laying all around me shop with daid batteries. Cheaper to buy new drills, dagnabbit. Don't think I want a battery grease gun now.

When you buy battery tools it really pays to get a good one & stick with it. Once I got to 18v DeWalts, I had a good thing and been using them for 10 years. Tools in heavy use for 10 years are worth it. DeWalt's not that expensive, the bare tools are reasonable but they get ya on the batteries. I get about 5 years from their batteries and am looking for a solution to renew what I have.

18v DeWalts I have: drill, impact screwdriver, sawzall, angle grinder, jigsaw, vacuum, work lamp, and now, grease gun. I have 3 chargers and 5 batteries.

Get rid of all the junk and you will be happy. Its very seldom when I prefer a corded hand tool. Only for sustained operations. Most of every project I'm using 5 or 6 different power tools and lack of cords is a real timesaver. I like my corded table saw, chopsaw , belt sander & planer though! And welder.
