FYI, I just finished replacing the upper spindle bearings on my 60" mid deck (RCK60-27B) because they were getting very noisey. After taking them apart I found that they were not getting grease, therefore running dry. oops!! Obviously when doing my regular scheduled maintenance, I was not pumping ENOUGH grease into them. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif The grease that I had been pumping into the spindles tended to settle down on and around the lower bearing, leaving the upper bearings without grease.
So my advice (assuming your upper and lower grease seals are in good shape) is to pump grease in until you feel some resistance on the grease gun handle. Also, each spindle looks to hold about a FULL CUP of grease which amazed me. Good Luck /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
