I wonder if the "lock N Lube" coupler would help you guys with that fitting? I have one and don't know how I lived without it..

It might make it worse. There isn稚 much room. If there is enough room for it, It might help.

I bought the Lock N Lube , and really like it. But if room is tight, then doubt the Lock N Lube will be easier.. it doesn't just snap in place.

I'd think the needle nose adapter would work best in tight spots.. maybe someone who has one of the variety of needle nose adapters out there will mention which one works good.

I've been dreading and procrastinating about this for over 2 yrs and 150 hrs. on my 1025r. So today I read everything about it on all the forums etc. and purchased new pistol grip grease gun, Lock n Lube, and a needle tip - and my first creeper.
I drove the front end up onto a 4x12 beam lying flat on the garage floor with a 2x6 on top of that - so about a 5 inch lift on the front end. I laid down on my new creeper (first time ever using one) put on a headlamp and rolled under. So much nicer than just sliding in on the concrete.
I turned the flywheel by hand counter clockwise (only direction it will go) until the zerk was as lined up as nicely as possible. It looked like I would have to put the new needle tip on the new grease gun and finish up. But I had the old grease gun underneath after doing the other joints and tried it just to see. It was tight, but it snapped on, I pumped the lever, and heard that sound of grease oozing out where it should. I wiggled it off and I'm still smiling.
It must have been beginner's luck - because the angle and the clearances make it look impossible. And yes I'm sure the grease went where it was supposed to. So, it can be done with minimal effort. If I could do it with very little experience, so can you.
