Yeah that Ford 1210 is not a Yanmar engine, and should be a Shibaura engine like you said. I have been in a similar situation where you piss off the person (not intentionally) selling something, and have a hard time trying to make a deal that will benefit you at the same time. Since it is still there after a week, I would go back and make an offer on it and see if he will meet you somewhere close to what you offer.

well 4 months later and he still has the loader for sale, price has dropped to $1200, I might have to go look again.

Great Bend loader is excellent quality. That what is on my YM240. Apparently dealer-installed when new. Mine runs off the tractor's hydraulics and that works ok. The lift is not real fast but it's quite sufficient for general farm use. I don't know if YM155 has the same capacity hydraulic pump as YM240.

As for undercarriage, we read about tractors split in half at the bellhousing. I think you need the arms going back from the crossmember under the transmission, to prevent that localized stress. I linked to photos of my undercarriage in my post above.

If you have a welder and can fabricate the mounts for YM155, that would be a good buy.

california, yes I looked at those pics and I'd have no problem fabbing up something similar. thank you

my thing is, I already have a laoder on my Cub Cadet and don't use it all that much.
I just want a loader for the Yanmar because I think it would be a neat addition as all I currently have is the back blade for it which did get a good wrokout this last winter.
I don't like to invest too much $$ in my tractors as they do not make me any money, only a hobby you know.

If I was closer I would buy that loader for my 155d. I can attest that these little tractors can be a hobby for a lot of us on here, but at the same time they really do serve a purpose. Mine have made my life way easier, and my back and neck thank me for having them too.
