I'm sure they have photos of the jubilant 19 year old seeing his new car! (RIP of course) You should ask them to share one or two.

Sure seems like a scam. It seems like alot of the scams, going into some big sob story about personal things. I think the red flag here is that "ebay" will be contacting you and probably providing you with a fake ebay website to go to.
To good to be true.

For that price someone should show up in person at a neutral location with cash and look it over and buy it. I wont buy a car sight unseen, tell them you want to see it listed (ebay) and then you will buy it.

It's a scam, definitely. But you may want to go through with it as far as you can (without giving up any real info) just to see the various "eBay" emails you get. I've done this a couple times, and I'm always amazed at the poor grammar and spelling coming from those "eBay" and "PayPal" emails, considering all the lawyers they have on staff

I sent a reply that I like the looks of the pics and would like to come see the car since I am close to Owensboro. I told them I would bring cash if the car was as described. Definitely have a/v updated.

When they say " the last price is..." , that is a dead give away of a scam.
No one in the US talks like that ( that I have ever heard ).

When you go to pay for it on the eBay page, you will find the page is actually NOT eBay, but looks like it all except the address. They are drawing folks in with the eBay part, thinking they are protected. I kept one going to several months on a John Deere tractor, probably a $15k tractor, selling for $4200.
