Hi All,
I have been reading some posts and Positive and Negative Plugs about certain Dealers. As you may or may not know my father and I received a TN65 and TN70DA yesterday afternoon. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My Dealer was "TRI-COUNTY POWER EQUIPMENT" of Jefferson City Tennessee. Dad and I went in knowing what we wanted and I had also found some Internet Pricing (Before New Holland put a STOP to it) and knew what I felt was a reasonable price. I WILL NOT comment on Public forums what I paid, but I feel as well as my Dad that we gave an honest price for an honest product.

I had looked at many different makes of Tractors. We have a Top Notch Mahindra dealer 5 miles from the house (Dad wanted a CAB and they did not offer in HP wanted). John Deere was literally 10,000 more than the New Holland that I (Dad too) ended up buying. Really liked the Green but just could not get them to talk a real deal other than MSRP or close to it. Really liked Kioti but they were over 60 miles to nearest dealer of any size and add having to drive THROUGH Knoxville, topainful to get too.

My buying experience had me going to all of these different Tractor Dealers and was treated nice at all of them. But TRI COUNTY for some reason was just different. Maybe because I personally knew one them from before my Army Days. No pressure and always answered my questions. Always willing to take the time to "loafer" a little and just make you feel at Home. Again there was NEVER no pressure to buy. I looked and discussed many tractors and HP and weights and implements and never once was I treated like a "Dummy" or like it was beneath them to answer a question. Everyone of the folks that work sales to include the owner are farmers. Part time farmers but the majority of East Tennessee is like that. So, when Chris or Don spoke you knew it was from a voice of experience. not something they had read in a book or a forum. (Although that helps! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif )

Paperwork was painless for Dad on his TN70DA and for my financing. Insurance was not an issue. Don and Chris went out of their way to make things easy as could be. Met the Owner "Mr. Lane" (Good Name, No Relation!) and guess what impressed me the most was the experience that they discussed things with. Was not like a Sales Person selling something that they had never operated themselves.

Delivery was awesome. Chris and Kevin was nothing less than professional. Chris started at one end of the TN65 and Walked me around it showing and telling me everything. I would stop him asking a question here and there and everything was answered in a very detailed simple explanation. I made a joke about "Asking Dumb Questions" and his comment to me was "There are no dumb questions!" "If you don't know something with this type of equipment it could get you hurt!" So, I had a very pleasent experience. My Dad arrived just before we finished and he walked around Dad's TN70DA and did the same thing. His took longer because of the CAB and all of the electronic stuff to show him and myself. Very Professional, Very Helpful and respectful to both Dad and myself.

As he was leaving he told me any questions to not hesitate to call and I truly believe he meant it too! Hopefully I will NEVER have to call him, but think if I do that it will be O.K. with no problems.

So, Could I have gotten a better price??? If I looked long and hard enough Probably! But am I satisfied??? YES! I think my dealer earned every dime that Dad and I paid for our tractors. Plus I have the piece of mind of having someone local. Of course I have the right to change my mind if something goes wrong and they don't make it right. But, I truly believe they would. It is a machine and things do break! Would I recommend anyone else to this Dealer??? YES! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have read over the last 3 years many folks getting their tractors and the Pro's and Con's and Good Dealers and Bad Ones. Here lately been a lot of discussion about that and wanted to share that I not only had a good experience but a GREAT ONE! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Now if it would just dry up enough to get some Seat Time! Can't wait to work (play) with my FEL!
