There is conflicting info on if the snap caps are approved for leaving the regulators attached. Depending on who pulls you over will determine if you get a ticket. Some stuff is provincially regulated and some is federal and that's where the gray matter lies as there is no clear cut answer if they are legal or not. That said, why take a chance. It takes 30 seconds to attach the regulator or take it off and out the cap on.
