too many
Although I've used this 4210 a bit lately, I have yet to
stick it's snout into a dirt pile.

Something about that painted green bucket with a car paint
job quality finish I'm having trouble with.

The Kubota BX I had was the same way but I don't think it was quite so S H I N Y.

I'm thankful Kubota had the decency to put a black bucket on
my L35, it would be an expensive garage ornament if I couldn't
bring myself to use the loader!

I know sooner or later I'll close my eyes and do the deed,
but it will be painful. Maybe I'll move some topsoil first
to kind of dull the finish.

Sooner or later they happen...including the few dents I have on my 410 loader bucket /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Get some of the green paint. Every winter we go around on all of the equipment and spray any areas that had paint knocked off. The deere paint blends in nicely and you don't even know that you sprayed it. I've tryed other paint in the past and even though they say it matches you can certainly see where you sprayed with it. I know the paint is more but you can definitely see the difference.

That green paint is pretty tough. I only have 12 hours on my 4310 and had been agressively digging into some Alabama red clay and had yetto scratch the paint on the bucket. I needed a small amount of gravel so I went down to the creek and found some scratches, I mean gravel. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Don't laugh at this, but the first use of my bucket was to transport grapefruit sized and smaller rocks picked out of my foundation backfill, I lined the inside with an old section of indoor/outdoor carpet (GREEN of course) so I could throw the stones into the bucket without chipping the paint. Two weeks later I had to spread 10 yards of road gravel around my driveway, let's just say I didn't use any protection on the bucket that time.

Yes, implements are for work, but I hated to start the process of scratching the bucket up.

No problem, If you read the manual you ARE NOT supposed to use the bucket so you won't get a scratch on it. Sorry just couldn't resist. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Deere Greene comes in a Classic and the current color. The other brands must be the Classic. The new one is probably trademarked like crazy!

Good idea to paint up at the end of the season!

That JD paint is nice paint, I picked up some as I am
redoing some used implements; old implements I picked
up that didn't see a shed in their lives.

Eventually the bucket will probably have that nice shiny
bare metal look inside.

The dealer told me sometimes people actually come in to
buy a tractor and implements and find some mark on
EVEN A REAR BLADE and seriously want it fixed. He has
even had people bring in stuff to be painted under
warranty. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

All my buckets and implements and blades are on their own.
I work in the woods a lot so a bit of "forest rash" shows
up now and then.

That bucket show does look purdy right now though!/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

YEAH !! LOADER USE NOT APPROVED (or you will scratch the paint).

Wish I had thought of that one.

Shucks; just take the bucket off, wax and polish, and use it for a lawn ornament.

My poor little mule has the paint worn off lots of spots where my feet or hands make contact with the painted metal. The bucket is bent and has much of the paint worn off. Even got several holes worn in the bottom. But I figure it's there to use.
