roughcut,
I just had two employees down in Washington County a few weeks ago doing flood damage assessment with FEMA. It sure was a mess down there.

They are in Belmont County this week, 4 of them.

I was in in Marietta on Saturday morning and the water was coming up fast,I actually drove through some of the shallow water that was coming up onto the streets. The water was coming out of the storm sewers and it looked like Old Faithful. I was in one store and it was up to the back of the building and I asked the ladys working in there if they brought there bathing suits to go swimming in the "backyard" The store is still closed today.

I'm a bit north of Pitt (and Henro). Zelienople/Fombell area.
We got hit prettty hard.
Our township (Franklin, probably less than 400 homes) had 168 homes damaged by the flood. There were 131 people that were rescued (121 by boat, 9 by fire dept vehicle and 1 by USCG helicopter that flew in from Detroit.
I don't know the exact count, but many of the homes affected were a complete loss. I watched a couple float down the river.

I don’t know about that site or the current regulations but I do have some friends that received their Green Cards through a lottery in Ireland. It was my understanding that the US Government issued so many for a given country and Ireland had so many applicants that a lottery was held each year. There were also requirements that you had to be actively employed in the US for a specific amount of time during a specific amount of time to keep it active. Things may be way different after 9/11 though. Many of the immigration laws are much tighter now.

I'm just using this as an example, I'm not implying anyone else would do this.
A woman a few years back wrote bad checks and finally got cought. They brought her to court and because she was found guilty of forgery or something of the sort and she had a green card they revoked it and kicked her out of the country. Her kids could stay because they were born here but the mom got deported. The government I guess doesn't care huh. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hey, tread lightly Sneaky. I may be American now but I was Scottish a long time. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Actually I lived in this country 17 years with a green card before I became a citizen. It slowly dawned on me that Scotland was a great place to visit but it wasn't home any more. There's no way I'm going to give up the freedoms I have here to live anywhere else in the world. I've seen a lot of it and for the most part, I've not been impressed.

As for that pop-up being a scam ... I can guarantee it is.
