Hey guys, the day of reckoning has come and gone. I originally was pretty keen on the MF 2410 TLB because I got a flyer in the mail showing the 72 months at zero interest. I went and checked it out and it was a real fine looking machine. To do my due diligence, I starting checking on the BX25 and JD 2305 because along with MF, there are dealers relatively close to my house and the 3 of them are long standing, trusted names in the industry. I am sure that alternatives like Kioti and others would have been fine machines also, just nothing close to where I live. I saw the JD and it had some features I really liked, but a couple of others which kind of thrilled me less. One was the price, similarly equipped, it was a couple of thousand dollars more. The other criteria, which might not be a big deal to most, but was big for me was the size. Yes it痴 a SCUT, but it is definitely bigger than the other two. I have a small property and as much as I would love to have one, I don稚 have the luxury of a barn to store stuff. I have small area to go through and a couple of inches makes a big deal for me. This is where the BX25 really caught my attention. It has tons of great features, very little that I would consider not to my liking, and the size was great. Something that the salesman told me which made sense (although he is a salesman!) is that the BH, not being connected to the 3PH, but to the frame, made it a lot stronger. He said the BX痴 have always been designed from the het go to have the BH. Of course, many have BH痴 connected to their 3PH, and I have never heard anyone mention that this was ever a problem?ut still, it sounded good to me! The MF looked fine and many reviews about them are very positive, but some people did mention things like there are lots of old MF痴 everywhere but newer models, dealers, and SCUT痴 are maybe not up to par with JD and Kubota. Also, I could be wrong in this but I believe that in these small, subcompact tractors and construction equipment, Kubota is one of the pioneers in this field. They don稚 even have a line of large or full size equipment, the small stuff is their specialty. For the right or wrong reasons, depending on your point of view, I made my down deposit and signed the papers yesterday for the BX25 (turf tires and 12巴ucket on the BH), with 54 fine cut MMM, rear mount snow blower, 3PH, a set of forks for the FEL and a an extra set of tires (R4痴 with rims, a set of 4 for $350!). Should be getting it Friday night and will need plenty of sleeping pills till it finally arrives! I want to thank everyone for their input and really appreciate all the info available on the various posts on this website.
Cheers!
