Sorry guys..it took me a while to get some more pictures between my schedule and the weather. First, here is a little better shot of the greenhouse.

Here's a shot of the inside water tank. It's 28 gallons and runs with an electric pump through a standard garden hose. I keep this inside so there is warm water available for the plants in the winter.

The water feeds in from the rain gutter through the PVC pipe on the right. When the indoor tank fills, the water backs up in the PVC pipe and then fills two 55 gallon drums outside.

One last shot of some greenhouse tomotoes. I grew them for last winter and let them go over the summer. They are still producing and going strong!

I gues I've choked up the board with enough pictures. If anyone wants anything specific, let me know!

The rain barrels are a good extra. Does this water need to be "treated" at all or will it stay relatively fresh for some time?

Actually, that's a good question. It will keep for a while but you have to keep it moving. We have enough growing that we use it pretty steadily even outside the greenhouse. The first dry spell we ended up with a couple of gallons in the bottom of the white tank that wouldn't pump out. It got green and ugly. I cleaned it out and now when that happens and rain is not in sight, I just keep it filled with tap water and use that. At least it keeps the tanks clean that way.

TonyC,

I must admit, if I tried I don’t think I could grow weeds. I do have a pretty good handle on construction (my standard line to clients) and you did a first class job! Thanks for all the details and links. My wife’s father loves to garden and has gotten up there in age to the point he is a bit limited when trying to get around. You have me thinking that a greenhouse might make a great addition to his house. May have to tap your expertise in the future.

I gotta say we sure do enjoy having it. We both have a green thumb, especially my wife. Call on me anytime for anything you need. As I said in the first post, I researched this to the max so I'm sure I could help. Anyone else as well. Use my e-mail if you like.
