I've got 1.5 to 2 acres of lawn to mow. I also mow several acres of rock free, smooth fields surrounding the house once or twice a year.
I've got 25+ acres of rolling ground, half covered with cactus, yuccas and buckbrush. I'd like to get a bush hog so I can mow it regularly to get rid of the unwanted flora and keep the fire danger down too. The rest is weeds and field grass, a bush hog should work fine to keep it down.
My driveway is 200 yds long and is paved. We do get snow but generally not more than a foot or less...and it tends to be dry and easy to shovel. So thought of getting a small blade to push snow.
Don't really need a FEL , but do have access to a small post hole auger and would use it occasionally.
I'm thinking of getting a Kubota BX2660 with a 54 or 60" MMM. Then adding a 4' Land Pride rotary cutter (bush hog) and a 54" Kubota frt blade for the snow removal. The 4x4 feature is appealing as the back fields are rolling with most of it uphill. 4x4 would allow me to clean it up safely.
I've thought of moving up to the B series compact tractors but I think a B is larger than really needed. Whats the price difference and are the B's also 4x4?
I feel I'm on the right track with the BX2660 do the rest of you AGREE??
