Just discovered this app. Looks great. Have had John Deere lawn tractors for about 25 years or so. Currently have a 1995 model 325 with cab, 48" mower deck, vacuum system and 48" snowblower. Love it.

Current issue though is my 20 year old Jonesred chainsaw died. Looking for advice on replacement. It has served me well over the years but I know technology has changed. Who is the best in this business these days? Just need for cutting firewood.

Welcome,
It sounds like your saw has served you well, if so why not get another? Check out the Jonsered web site, knowing the "CC" of the saw that you are replacing (if you were happy with the power) and get a new one. The only thing that I think that has been changing in saws, other than tech. changes, is that it seem now that all of the different saw manf. now make a "lesser" saws for mass consumption at the big box stores. To get 20 years out of a new saw (depending on your usage) you may want to step up to a pro grade saw. Stihl does categorize their saws like that on their web site, not sure about the others.

Well i am not an expert on chsinsaws but i will tell you my husqvarna 395xp is amazing. It cuts thru oak like butter. It weighs a TON and i can barely start it but omg it is amazing. I inherited it from my dad and only use it for emergencies like when a tree goes down over my driveway. It is a pro saw and 7:1 hp accordingto the instruction book. I highly recommend it bit it is reaaly really heavy for me.
