Hello my fellow tractor enthusiasts! I am researching/gathering information about other's experiences in an effort to assist in deciding about my eventual "first" tractor purchase. As my fellow Cajuns down here in de bayous say, "Poo Yi Yi! Ders a lot of peoples what know dem tractors in heah".
Born and raised near Baton Rouge, (have lived in Illinois, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Florida), I have recently purchased a home and 15 acres in the Missouri Ozarks. I plan to relocate to the Gainesville, MO. area in 6 months or so, and will be needing a tractor for bush hogging, mowing, and some general property maintenance.
Thanks to everyone on this forum for posting such wonderful information about the purchasing and operation of their tractors. There are a lot of Mahindra, Massey F., Kubota, and John Deere tractors around Baton Rouge. Of course, I will be leaning towards some brands that will be familiar to the local service shops/dealers near Gainesville. I have already learned, from this forum, that service and parts may well be more important than brand names.
Again, thanks to all on TBN. I'll be looking forward to gleaning a lot more knowledge from you folks!
