Do these tractors also have a foot throttle for when you need a little extra umph? I thought I read somewhere they did but I'm not sure.

Not sure what you mean by foot throttle?? My throttle, like all that I have looked at is a handle to the riight of the steerin wheel. There may be other configurations that I'm not aware of. Maybe somepne else will have a comment here?

Not sure I understand the "extra boost" part either? There is a peddle that locks the differential when you get in the sticky, mucky stuff, is that what you are talking about?

Unless your talking about the foot activated NOS switch I installed on mine. For when I want to get back to the barn really fast! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Just kidding, I didn't really install NOS on my tractor... yet /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cwarrix:

I don't know if gray market Yanmar's have a foot throttle but my little yanny does and the little extra boost of power would mean if your not running WOT and you need just a little more you tap the foot throttle to goose it a wee bit or at least thats what I got out of what he was saying. I do it when I'm mowing and get into a patch of grass thats a little thick.

The foot throttle is hooked via linkage to the hand throttle but the hand throttle doesn't move when you tap the foot throttle and when you let off it just returns where it was set .....man that was a mouth full....guess I could have typed that better....

You got me curious now, I'll have to check to see if my 2210 has such an animal... don't remember seeing it, but I'm still learning as I go, so I could have missed it. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

That's what I'm talking about. It's just a little pedal you can step on to get some more RPMs. If this tractor has one, I'm guessing it would be on the right side somewhere below the brake pedals.

Most are tiny with a pedal about the size of a 50 cent piece.

Mine is on the right foot rest on the outside. It's a circle about the size of a silver dollar welded to a shaft that runs back through the foot rest and hooks the the hand throttle.

On the other hand my 790 just has a rod stickin' out on the inside of the right foot rest right up next to the tranny...and it's a yanmar in green paint

I've never noticed it, but I will certainly go out and look around lunch time and let you know. Like I said, I'm still learning as I go, so it very well could be there, I may have just not noticed it.

I just did a search. I think you are going to find one. It looks like most models have them. One guy with a 2210 said his had one. Hey, thats got to be exiting to find out your tractor has a cool feature like that. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
