I have translated labels, but they are for the PTO shield and FEL only. I have yet to obtain, or see ANY well translated decals for the operator controls.

I have heard often, the same about Japanese decals being too vague of generalized in the translation.

I think this was brought up again in the second survey (?).

The Japanese language is made up of Chinese characters. Send me a photo of what you want translated. I will take it to Japan with me and have it translated for ya.

Mickey,
No offence here, but personally, I really dont care if I can read the instructions, unless its in the owners manual /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.. This is my opinion of course, but they should be basic knowledge(IE: lable by the PTO probably means PTO /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif). Again, I dont mean to single you out or demean anyones desire for info. IMHO I would rather the concentration on dealer networking and info/parts availability to help my decision to buy. The stickers to me would just be a nice to know item.

Mickey is a retired HP. engineer, and engineers gotta find out what makes everything tic. I can see his point, thats why we replace all the decals with english ones on our machines.
He is also a civil war history buff, and a very interesting person to talk to.

If you were addressing me Buck, the person I have working on my labels has a Japanese wife and he is a tractor guy. Right now she is on an extended trip to Japan. If the offer still holds and if I have any problems I might want to take you up on the offer. I was aware some characters are the same for both Chinese and Japanese and that I said one needs to know something about the equipment to better understand the meaning of the unfamiliar characters.

Thanks for the comments Ernie and yes my needs are due to the desire to know what the factory labels say and not due to a real need to be able to read for operation of the tractor.

If I were to do a complete paint job on the sheet metal, it would be nice to have a fresh new set of English labels to replaced the old, faded, damaged original ones.

Like I said, I didnt want to ruffle feathers with my comment. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif It would definitly be nice to have english decals. That wouldnt keep me from buying one though.

My point was more to make sure we dont loose sight of service and availability of parts. If the dealer network was larger and you could do a search on Yanmar tractors in the US and get all the info you need to find a dealer in your area, we would all benefit from it. The decals could be available on the web sites too /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sorry if I didnt word it right..

ROPS for me was the big issue.I bought knowing that ROPS for my mod. Yanmar would be out soon. I wouldn't have bought another brand. Support of parts & integrity of the dealer.
