Kubota L 3560 HSTC, 805 Loader
I got a new L3560 tractor and it has a factory grill guard. I feel this guard is not up to my needs so I’m either going to add some expanded metal to the existing guard or I’d prefer to buy the panels if they were available (like the deluxe kit on a JD). I do a considerable amount of work with a grapple.....and I feel you are inviting problems when that grill is not better protected.....than offered by the factory guard. Maybe Landpride will make a "kit" someday? Hint....Hint!

In the meantime....I noticed an old camping grill was just about the perfect size to cover a portion of the grill. So, I just cut off the supports, painted it orange and zip tied it to the existing grill until fall when I can get a proper grill fab’d.

Oops. ^ Forgot to ask the question: Has anyone got a Kubota Grill Guard Fabrication that they are proud of?......so I can copy the design. Or....better still does anyone offer an improved kit for the Kubota? Thanks for any good suggestions.

I recommend that you put something lower also. I know my grill has already been poked with a couple of sticks.

Right about that one, had a root come up and take out a grill and battery on a tractor I had one time.

I'd put on some more zip ties, carry some spare wire and monitor it until a tie broke.
Looks good as is.

Make sure you protect the hydraulic lines more or less under the HST pedal. Especially if you have a 3rd function. They are really exposed down there. I have yet to put a skid plate under mine & the outer layer of rubber is gone already near the fittings from brush has been rubbing.

We made our original grill guard out of expanded metal, but finally tore a hole through it, taking out a head light. Replaced a large portion of it with 1" floor grate material. So far, so good.

Still needs painted and it’s nothing fancy but after extensive brush and grapple work and replacing and upgrading the bottom part for a 3rd time its works great. 1/2 thick by 12 inch tall bottom section hangs down quite a bit to help prevent those low lying branch sneaking under. All of it hangs out on the sides as much as I could and still not interfere with front end loader.

Keep in mind you need a bit of gap between top and bottom so you can still tilt the grill to open the hood.
