Yes they do. The Cat I QH pins go inside the adapter bushings, which then go inside the Cat II lift arm rotating balls.

If the adapter bushings are too wide, it's a helluva lot smarter to grind down a seventy nine cent bushing than it is to (permanently) modify an expensive set of (new) lift arms.

Greg,

You are correct. The bushings would work if I could get the John Deere Quick Hitch placed over the lift arm balls. The width of the quick hitch does not allow room unless the hitch is cut and widened or the lift arms ground. Cat I or even Cat II pins could be welded on the outside for placement inside the lift arm balls.

Thanks, DaveinVa

How about putting a catII quick hitch on it and modifying your implements? That way you wouldn't have to mess up your lift arms and any new equipment could be catII.

Jeff,

The tractor came with a Cat II Quick Hitch. It would not fit any of the equipment the dealer sold me or any of my attachments. Major modification was required such as cutting and welding. I can not do either. I asked the dealer for a hitch that would fit my equipment and they supplied the JD imatch. Now the problem with getting it to fit this tractor. The salesman and the manager said that I would have to make the modifications....they would not. Maybe they were tired of dealing with my inexperience with larger tractors. I must admit that I am exasperated at this point. Thus the trip tomorrow to look for a new dealer.

Dave,
All I can do is say what I would do. I would tell the dealer that I wanted him to take the QH back and forget it. Then you can get a QH that will fit right without cutting your arms up. There are several different QHs. To name a few, Jiffy Hitch and Bubco are A frame two part units. Several here have had good luck with Pat's QH ends that are hooks that just go on the lift arms only. None of these that I mentioned would necessitate you to cut your arms. There are several more than the ones above.

Thats a great looking tractor.

Congratulations

Then the dealer simply gave you the wrong QH for the tractor.

I have a Homier Cat 1&2 Quick Hitch, purchased a while back for my JM254 (Cat 1 TPH). QH came with Cat 1 pins, so worked with the Jinma just fine. Haven't used it yet on the KM454 (Cat 2 TPH), so I took my caliper outside to measure - wanted to make sure I wasn't in the same predicament as you. The QH slots are plenty wide to accomodate the Kama's Cat2 lift arms with no modification to anything; all I need is a pair of adapter bushings for the OE Cat 1 QH pins.

Dave,
Factory fit quick attach (option) are Walterscheid couplings, with hook ends and balls. They can be welded on the same place on links, instead of ball ends. I recommend this type of quick attach, because it is simple, not too expensive, and you can change Cat 1 to Cat 2 just with replacing balls.
Look at catalogue here

Advantage is that you can replace ball ends with hooks ends later, even at home, with cutter and welder.
Just I don't know is this available there in US. Here in Europe this most common type of quick attach, almost exclusive.

This may be a silly question, but why buy a cat. 2 tractor and cat. 1 implements in the first place? If cat. 1 implements will do the job isn't a cat. 2 tractor to operate them with a huge overkill?

Because Dave bought ag tractor, not a cut. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
All AGCO GT tractors have Cat2 balls.
I have all implements with Cat1 pins, and I'm using reducing bushings on my bigger tractor, home made out of 3/8" steel pipe.
