I was there, but I never understood it. I was just getting used to the Beatniks, when all of a sudden we had Hippies. Maynard Krebs was cool, but not Manson. Could never relate; maybe because I had a job, was in college with a wife and baby on the way. I did think the girls were very sexy in 1963!
