Ground Hogs

I trap them and spray paint them orange. Release them a mile down the road at the river. If they come back they get a bullet.

Illegal here in Va to transport wild animals.

Dunno how things are in your state, but in mine you wouldn't want Fish & Game to get wind of that...a dog who chases, much less takes down a dear will get put down immediately if a game warden finds out about it.

Yea, I'm not worried about it in the least. He was on my property and deer are as thick as rabbits here. I'm pretty sure there was no chasing involved, it was probably 1 or 2 days old. I think the doe probably gave birth about 150 feet from our house. That's the first time it's happened in the 22 years I've lived here.

Live trap right over the hole with some lettuce and cut apple for bait.

This was at my next door neighbor’s house June 19. Less than an hour after he set the trap.
