As to the rabbis question , here in Massachusetts they are the leading critter for attacks on humans by rabbid animals . (as of 2001) ...As a wannabe farmer my veiw on them is no quarter , no mercy , I grow pumpkins for whole sale for a local farm stand , (the big 100lb + ones , specialty grade )so I have no love for them and their kin ...
I operate on two rules , 1 ) to be seen is to invite death ,,,2 ) Denied residency, if they take up home at a give spot , I do all I can to make that spot unliveable for them , ....
But to each his own, if tomorrow I got a new neighbor that wanted them ,, fine , but the first 2 rules apply on my side of the fence ..
Good luck with what you choose to do ,,, In their place they are and can be very interesting , but that place is not my farm ....
