So, do wider tires increase traction or decrease it. Seems like the wide tires would put less weight per square inch and thus be less traction. I don't know.
In any case, that machine sure is a brute. I love machines that show modifications for a specific purpose. They just have a useful and well used look about them.
I'll put it this way, with the original tires, any time the plow hung a rock the tires would spin, with these tires the tractor just stood up until it could go no futher.
The other day this little feller pushed a fullsize dodge van loaded full and never spun a tire and it's only 9.2hp.
very nice..i like the huge rear tires and rims. what are they off of? that engine looks like a WISCONSIN AENLD. they are great engines.. i rebuilt a AENLD back in 2000 and transplanted it on a "63 wheel horse and it has all the power i need. i also transplanted a 10 hp diesel in a larger wheel horse tractor, and the torque is incredible.. now i am hooked on diesel's.. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
