GT2544 Underside of Deck

I am in the same boat as you. I find my 2544 deck really holds the grass even when cutting relatively dry grass. I had to clean mine every 4 to 5 cuttings or about 4 or 5 times a summer. The paint is all gone as well...not very impressive for a tractor with only 35 hours on it.
I also find that the suction is nearly zero when the deck gets a little clogged-up. When it is clean you can really hear the suction as the deck is way louder than the tractor. I still might have further discusions with the dealer this summer as the aluminum spindles are very corroded as well.

All these decks collect grass; mulching dry and even bagging when wet.

I'm on my 4th one of my lifetime so far. All of them lost the paint underneath. The black decks and dark greys don't show as much. The bright yellow Cub decks and Deere for that matter will be obvious.

There is simply no solution to this. Maybe lining them with plastic or that Linex or Rhino stuff will do it. I am sure if there was a solution, one of the major manufacturers would have introduced something by now.

I bet if you looked closely, there was rust forming after the first or second mowing.
