Back in I think it was '99 the anti propaganda was. "it will be like dodge city all over again, and blood will run in the streets" Ads actually said that, and the vote failed. Then the Legislature finally passed it and went into effect in 2004. I will never forget some of the idiotic things I heard in opposition to this bill from people who should know better.

I am really amazed that this thread has gone on so long! Tractors are fun and informative to write and read about, but I do like my guns. Seems as tho many others here do too!

Firearms are fun to write and read about also. Not to mention the enjoyment most of us get from just shooting them or hunting with them. Of course you also have the personal protection aspect of owning them. My daughter packs a hi-cap 9mm.

Absolutely nothing...but some anti-rights people get their exercise leaping at straws and jumping to (erroneous) conclusions...

I wonder how many beers he had before doing such a nutty thing with a homemade cannon. If he had a brain he would have started out using a low load to make sure it would work first. I've seen quite a few thundermugs over the years that were made out of SS. They had a 1" bore and more than a 1" sidewall for extra strength. You could not blow these up no matter how much powder you put in them.

He has been charged with using a destructive device. I guess he didn't know if was illegal to build a cannon.

Along with murder, Fox was charged with exploding a destructive device and child endangerment, because the couple's sleeping 4-year-old daughter was in the trailer. She was not hurt.
