I have a 345 that has the opposite problem. Just last week for some unknown reason, the engine is running too fast. My wife was mowing and said the tractor would act like it wanted to die, so she would throttle it back, the engine would pick back up, and she would continue mowing, then after a while would die. It would start fine. I changed the fuel filter, started the tractor, and noticed that on full speed, or even at idle it was running way too fast. My neighbor has a JD and hers did it a couple years ago. What happens is that it runs so fast that it is using fuel faster than it can go into the filter bowl. I adjusted her carburetor and all has been fine, but on my 345, I don' see where to adjust anything. Any clues?
