It took us a while to find all the problems, but after we spent 30K fixing stuff that had been neglected or improperly repaired by the past owner, the machine did great for us. New tracks, new drive axles, pulled the pumps and gear box and replaced all seals, new tensioners, new sprockets, all new hoses, .... it just seemed like it would never end. We finally got it right about the time we finished up the contract we had it for. We put it for sale last fall and some guys in TX got a nice machine.
It was a good machine, but we found we could do most of our work with CTL's. So now we use 2 299DXHP's 99% of the time and rent bigger mulchers if we need to.
