Another poster asked about the QH earlier this week.varmint said:I noticed in the Harbor Freight sale flyer that came yesterday that they have their 3 point quick hitch (item 93691) on sale for 69.99. I'd be interested in hearing how they can be used, though the extra weight might be an issue on small CUTs?
HF quick hitch thread 2/5/2007
That thread has a lot of useful answers. Also the original poster included good photos of the HF hitch, the FarmPro QH (same thing) and the original JD iMatch they were copied from.
One of the replies gives links to hundreds of posts in several threads a few months ago, at a time when several of us bought one. There should be an answer to nearly any question in those links.
In the thread I mentioned above, look at the right side of the second photo. That shows the adapter to use if the top pin of your implement is a non-standard height above the lower pin line. It is obtained by phoning HF in Camarillo.
One issue I haven't seen described clearly: look again at that second photo, right side. On the top-center of the HF hitch, the lips with bolt holes extend to the rear of the main hitch chassis. These lips can hit the uprights on the implement. You might have to buy the adapter to get adequate clearance there, or possibly move the crosspin forward on the implement to make some clearance.
I like my HF QH. It sure is an improvement over aligning the implement with a prybar!
