H1 trailer brake controller and 7 way plug

A friend with a H1 (98 civilian model) is wanting to buy a tri-axle trailer off of me but does not have a brake controller in it. Do these trucks already have the harness under the dash?

I seriously doubt it. You will have to wire things from scratch. Not a big job, just take the time to solder everything and keep it neat and tied up.

does it have a pig tail for a 7 way out back? If so, I'd think ther'de be one under the dash.

Thanks for the help but it does not look like my buddy is going to buy my trailer. His H1 has tow rating of 8000lbs and my tri-axle wieghs 4000lbs empty.

I was wonder about that. What I had seen of the Hummer line was while they seemed to be very capable off road vehicles they did not appear to be a very good tow vehicle. I think the short wheel base would make it a handful. Towed a 28' Pontoon on a tandem axle trailer with a V8 Jeep once, never again. The boat was light, maybe 3,000# but the Jeep was all over the road above 35mph.

Yeah, the H1 is pretty cool and very capable. Last winter though when checking out his property, my buddy ran into a snag with some ice. Of course when me and my Jeep were called upon I just happened to have the camera in the Jeep with me!

Nice Jeep. Always good to have a camera around when someone else does something stupid! I can never find my camera when I do something stupid.

I wish my jeep could pull out a H1. Theyre just so **** heavy. I doubt my winch could pull a stuck one with out treeing it first.

A garden tractor could have pulled him out, his back tires were on ice and just spinning. I couldn't resist the photo op that was presented to me though! Next time it will be him pulling me out.
