Enjoy, still talking snow here, cousin asked if I needed help with the end of the drive just this morning, next will be mud, then bugs then grass cutting. :laughing: My grandfather who was from Aberdeen use to say we only had two seasons in Canada, spring and winter, lol.

Thanks for all the congratulatory messages. I'll post pics of the new mower when the weather improves. Tornado and flash flood watches hoisted now. NWS calling for widespread 2+ inches of rain; up to 5 inches in spots.

How's that haggling ? I only talked to him once when I went to the dealership & told him what I would give.I don't know of any salesperson(unless it's the owner) that will just say.. I'll take your offer.. They have to ask the MAN if it's ok..Haggling to me means. You start with his price. Then you tell him you'll give XX Then he says he'll have to have xxxxx Then you say I'll go xxx Etc,Etc,

well, i always haggle. i always come into any deal with cash, and i wont complete the deal unless i get a better price.

people do it to me when I'm bidding on jobs, and i don't disrespect them for it. if they jumped on my proposal, then i think...wait, what did i screw up on..i must have priced it tooooo low.

i just made a deal on a horse trailer, and i had them throw in free delivery....from 2400 miles away.....but they accepted the offer. like they say, its a byers market, and i didn't really need it that bad.

That happens to me when I bid an HVAC / Plumbing job. It's the ones that say..OK, when can you start. I'm thinking I screwed up on the price somewhere:laughing:

I guess some see a haggle as argument, were I see it as an instance of bargaining. I won't argue either, well most of the time.:laughing: Looks like we both could be right!

nice mower! i looked at that exact model 2 years ago and the best he could do was around $6,400 so i would say you got one heck of a deal! as far as haggling goes i'm cursed. when i TRY to haggle i think they jackup the price on me! i seem to be able to get a fair deal on tractors, mowers, etc but NEVER on trucks. i try to be firm, tell them what i want and what i'll pay and they always laugh at me and never chase after me or call me later. maybe that's why i keep my trucks for 10+ years at a time
